We are looking for a Business Development Manager – Walmart, who can contribute to our continued growth at Walmart US, Walmart International and Sam’s Club. An experienced analyst with a passion and understanding of the Wal-Mart universe is mandatory. This position will be accountable for growing our Carl Buddig, Old Wisconsin and CBQ brands by achieving short term and long term objectives. This is a “hands on” analyst / sales position responsible for specific sales objectives. This position reports to the Director of Sales – Walmart.



  • Collaborate with the Walmart Director of Sales to develop sales plans for Walmart and Sam’s Club.

  • Identify, defines and executes specific sales strategies and business objectives to maximize sales, share growth and enhanced profitability for the Carl Buddig, Old Wisconsin and CBQ product lines.

  • Utilizing syndicated and Retail Link data generate consumer/ marketplace insights that will drive brand strategy, creative development, innovation and sales objectives.

  • Translate data into actionable insights and business recommendations to Walmart and Sam’s Club. Compelling “story telling”.

  • Establish and develop key sales relationships with Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club buyers and support staff as assigned.

  • Achieve specific sales objectives, margin dollars and product placement in assigned categories at Walmart and Sam’s Club.

  • Creates partnership relationship with CBC team members and works cohesively with finance, product development and replenishment team.

  • As assigned conduct market audits to identify competitive threats, merchandising compliance and broker effectiveness.

Functional & Technical Sales:

  • Strong knowledge of business practices, analytics, and retail environment/practices.
  • Experience across a broad range of market research techniques and analytical techniques such as:
    • syndicated based market structures.
    • consumer segmentations.
    • data mining with syndicated tools.
  • Extraction and synthesis of data and information into actionable insights.
  • Retail link skill sets of extracting, analyzing and implementing data into measurable action plans


  • 5 years of progressive analytical skill sets.

  • 1 year of sales experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (excel)

  • BA / BS degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Superior analytic and problem solving skills.

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.

  • Able to multi task in a fast environment.

  • Outstanding organization skills to ensure tight deadlines (internally and externally).

  • Mandatory travel required anticipating up to 4 nights per month.
