Position Description:
Produce product by preparing and packaging cooked product for shipment with a safety –minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.

Carl Buddig and Company has been feeding family traditions for more than 100 years with the very best in taste, variety and convenience. Buddig offers an assortment of quality, thin-sliced lean meats for sandwiches, snacks and special recipes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Load bulk meat logs (up to 30 pounds) into meat slicer at required production frequency levels.
  • Perform random re-weight checks of sliced meat product.
  • Review and inspect product
  • Place pre-determined amount of sliced meat products into packaging.
  • Reject meat product that does not meat specifications
  • Place required number of packages into box.
  • Inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21 – 40 units per minute.
  • Ensure that boxes are filled per required levels.
  • Place completed boxes on pallet ensuring proper pallet configuration
  • Place empty pallet into position for proper stocking.
  • Maintain areas in a clean and sanitary manner at all times.
  • Inspect equipment for sanitary conditions.
  • Inspect product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed.
Primary Requirements:
  • Must be flexible and able to work either shift (6:30 AM – 3:30 PM or 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM).
  • Must be able to work in a high speed environment.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours or more per week.
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary including weekends.
  • Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Essential Functions:
  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
  • Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours per day.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat as needed for responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
  • Must have good hand eye coordination.
Preferred Experience:
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred.
  • 1-2 year related work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP and USDA regulations preferred.
